Community College Northern Inland Inc. is seeking a Program Coordinator to work in Barraba.

The position is for 12 hours per week permanent part-time with work preferably carried out on a Wednesday and Thursday. This position has a probationary period of three months.

Evening and weekend work can be expected and some flexibility around hours is required. The position will be based in the College premises in Queen Street, Barraba. The Program Coordinator is required to research, plan and coordinate a range of education and training courses for the local community.

Essential requirements

  • Local community involvement, knowledge of the district community and the ability to develop local networks which will contribute to the outcomes expected in the College Strategic Plan.
  • Demonstrated skills in business development and promotion.
  • An understanding of the business, social and economic environment of the area.
  • Capacity to manage ongoing change in the Program Coordinator role and College activity.
  • Excellent planning skills with attention to detail and customer focus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and customer service skills.
  • Skills in technology including email, Word and navigating online.
  • Small office administration skills.
  • Driver’s licence and access to a vehicle with comprehensive insurance.
  • Basic budgeting and financial management skills.
  • Willingness to participate in professional development.
  • Ability to work independently with a minimum of supervision whilst still working collaboratively with the Executive Officer, other Program Coordinators and the Management Committee.

Desirable

  • Certificate IV Training and Assessment
  • Office skills qualifications
  • Understanding of the VET sector
