This program offers a unique opportunity to anyone interested in leading a healthier, more sustainable lifestyle!

This course combines horticulture and hospitality in an innovative program aimed at people who want to:

  • save money by growing and cooking their own food
  • do something positive for the environment – starting in their own backyard
  • develop job ready skills for the horticultural and farming industries
  • explore green food business opportunities – like supplying local shops with quality, organic produce.

During this course, trainer-entrepreneurs Steve Bigg and Friedy Meinel will lead students through an inspiring program that includes hands-on gardening at Bingara’s Living Classroom and culinary classes in the Roxy commercial grade kitchen.

This course includes Units of Competency from FSK10113 Certificate I in Access to Vocational Pathways as well as non-accredited training including: Introduction to Interacting with Customers; Career Development Programme; Computer File Management: Cloud Drives and Online Sharing and MS Word.

This course is delivered and assessed by Community College Northern Inland Inc (RTO No: 90027) who issue a Statement of Attainment to successful participants.
