HANDLING ANXIETY & DEPRESSION
This free, 2 hour workshop is designed to give people up-to-date advice on how to deal with anxiety & depression. It is suitable for those who live with someone with anxiety or depression, or for people who experience it themselves, A wide range of topics will be covered and there will be time for questions & answers. The program is run by Jamie Marshall of Centacare New England North West. (Centacare NENW is a community service of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Armidale.)
When:
     Monday, 30 November at the Activities Room, Warialda MPS,
          
Long Street, Warialda from 5:30pm to 7:30pm
                Min 8 required.

BOAT DRIVERS LICENCE
This course is conducted by NSW Maritime under new rules which applied after 1 June, 2009. In addition to attending a 4 hour theory course, evidence of supervised time operating a boat must be produced before a licence is issued. Copies of the Boat Drivers Handbook and the new Logbook are freely available at Community College Warialda. Young adult (12 to 16) licences are available and proof of age and identity are required.
When:   Thursday, 12 November at the Warialda G & B Club, from 5:45 to
         
9:45pm. Max of 15 in class.
Cost:     A registration fee of $10 payable to Community College on
               Enrolment.
Test and licence fees are payable on the night directly to NSW Maritime, cheque or credit card preferred. Fees will vary as to 1 year or 3 year licence, pensioner or young adult and are subject to CPI adjustment. Please enrol by 3 November.
NOTE:
NSW Maritime recommend you get your logbook time before you do the 12 November course, otherwise your licence can not be issued until the logbook time is completed.

FORKLIFT DRIVER TRAINING
A 2 ½ day course on how to operate a forklift truck and then assessment for your licence. Your tutor is Darren Rickard. The minimum age is 18 and you must provide 100 points of ID evidence. Study notes will be provided on enrolment, and the cost of the licence is extra, payable direct to the Work Cover Authority
When:  Monday-Wednesday, 30 November, 1 ,2 December, 9am to 4pm
             on day 1 & 2. At the Gwydir Shire training room & depot in

SENIOR FIRST AID CERTIFICATE (Parasol EMT)
The Certificate is valid for 3 years. On enrolling you receive a handbook and workbook, which you must have studied and completed before attending the 7 hour practical course. Your tutor is Graham Moxey.

The NSW liquor laws mandate responsible service of alcohol training for the liquor industry. The courses delivered by CHS are NSW CLGCA approved and CHS is registered with VETAB NSW. Since 1 Jan 2009 the NSW RSA certificate is not recognised in Qld. Your RSA (LAB approved) and RCG certificate do not expire once you have obtained them and they meet the OLGR requirements

Cost:      $85.00

OPERATE a BAR (SITHFABOO2A)
On completion of this 6 hour course you will be able to prepare a bar for service, check & restock bar products, take care of glassware, store products at correct temperature and in the correct place, handle drink orders and prepare and serve drinks correctly and courteously. You will learn how to handle mishaps and how to close the bar down.
