SURVIVING ADOLESCENTS
Course Content:
      * Understanding adolescence: A time of reconstructions, redeveloping
         social landscapes, brain snaps and body make-overs. 
      * Understanding your job as a parent of a teenager – observer, adviser,
         negotiator, director.
      * Asking the question – Is it serious? What’s worth reacting to and what’s
         not….. 
      * How to hold the difficult conversations more successfully

MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AID
Centacare New England Northwest will be conducting a free 2 day Mental Health First Aid course in Narrabri on the 10th and 11th of November 2009.  This course aims to increase knowledge and understanding of mental health problems.  It educates in recognizing triggers of mental health episodes and the first aid practices used to assist in a mental health crisis until professional help arrives. PRETTY UGLY ART
Tracey Holcombe’s bright and colourful paintings are created with acrylic paint and are mostly painted with fingers and a light brush work. Experiment with colour and imagination and create your own masterpiece.
When: Tuesday 3 Nov 6 -8 pm

Experiment with colour and let the kids use their imagination and create their own masterpiece.
When: Saturday 7 Nov (1 hour) 10-11am

Come and learn the art of cake decorating for all occasions with Janice Smith. This 6 week course will focus on both, Beginner & Advanced Techniques. All ingredients supplied.  “Decorate your own Christmas cake”(Emphasis on Australian Wildflowers).  Requirements list available at enrolment time

WRAPERTOIRE WORKSHOP
Wrapertoire with Wendi Lozano is a whole new world of 3D artwork and it is easy to do. In just 1 day you can create a draped figure of fabric and fibre construction. You don’t need to be artistic.
When:  Saturday 14th Nov Beginner Workshop  9am – 3pm

 CANINE ETIQUETTE
For all dog lovers who want to learn more about dog ownership with Rosemary & James Durrant. Requirements List: 10mtrs of rope, correction chain, lead and a plastic bag.
