WORKSHOP with LYNN MUNDAY EMOTIONAL FREEDOM TECHNIQUE |
FURNITURE RESTORATION![]() This six week course with Doug Wales covers furniture restoration from “scratch”. Learn how to sand, repair and treat your furniture. Grab that old chair/stool/table from the shed and take it to see Doug – he will teach you how to reinvent and restore your timber furniture. The cost of this course does not include materials which can be purchased from Doug. Suggested to bring: Water bottle, hat, wear covered shoes and clothes to be dusty in. When: Commencing Saturday 7 Nov for 6 weeks from 1pm–5pm at Cost: $210 PHOTOGRAPHY/PHOTOJOURNALISM WITH KATE BLACK This popular course with with Kate Black, a freelance photographer since 2002 who studied at the Brisbane College of Photography, is being offered again. Kate has photographed for many wedding, portrait and commercial clients with recent expansion into photojournalism. Kate’s emphasis is on capturing those unique moments by creating a warm and friendly atmosphere where clients can feel at their most comfortable - to photograph people in a natural and candid way is the main focus but also to capture the small details that make up the bigger picture. The aim of the course is to teach a basic knowledge of photography principles and methods, allowing the photographer to take great photographs of what interests them. Active participation of students in practical tasks will help develop individual skills. A little knowledge can make a big difference to your photographs. Min. 6 Max. 12 When: Wednesday evenings 21, 28 Oct, 4 and 11 Nov 6pm – 8.30pm plus one 3 hr field trip date to be decided during the course. Cost: $95 |

Min. 6 Max. 10 Cost: $100 EMOTIONAL FREEDOM TECHNIQUE EFT is being offered again - this course will give you invaluable tools to help with stress, anxiety, phobias, depression, irritability and other negative emotions that may be impacting on your life. Naturopath Janine McDonald is a qualified Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) practitioner and has been using this technique in her practice successfully for over four years. BIPOLAR
WORKSHOP This workshop is designed to give people updated information about bipolar disorder. It is suitable for people who live with someone who has bipolar disorder, or for people who just want to know more about the issues associated with bipolar disorder. Topics covered include: What causes bipolar disorder? What self-help strategies exist for bipolar disorder? What sort of medication is suitable for treating bipolar disorder? How are different types of bipolar disorder categorised? What can I do to assist someone with bipolar disorder? Who can diagnose and treat bipolar disorder? When: Thursday 29 Oct 5.30pm – 7.30pm. This workshop is designed to give people up-to-date advice on how to deal with anxiety and depression. It is suitable for people who live with someone who has anxiety and depression, or for people who experience it themselves. Topics covered include: Diet, exercise, herbal remedies, medication, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), the power of talking about it, sleep, relaxation/meditation, and other self-help options.
