Please note: even if a course is not listed on the program, it may still be possible to organise one, subject to minimum numbers enrolling. Leave any requests for courses with Ross at the Community College office, 39 Chandos St. If enough people do this, we can arrange extra courses that meet the needs of Gunnedah residents and workers.

WORK SAFELY IN THE CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY

The new unit CPCCOHS1001A Work safely in the construction industry is designed to meet OH&S regulatory authority requirements for OH&S induction and must be achieved before access to any building and construction work site. This unit is:
 a core unit in the CPC10108 Certificate I in Construction
 a pre-requisite for the compulsory unit CPCCOHS2001A Apply OHS requirements, policies and procedures in the construction industry in all Certificate II and Certificate III construction qualifications. NSW WorkCover approved.
When:     Tuesday 10 Nov and Monday 30 Nov.
                9am - 3pm.

PALLIATIVE CARE FOR AGED CARE WORKERS with David Maddigan

Deliver care services using a palliative approach (CHCPA01A)
From Certificate III in Age Care Work  (CHC30102) This unit covers the awareness, knowledge, skills and values required of a worker in contributing to the care of clients with life-limiting illness and/or normal ageing process within a palliative approach.  

Plan for and provide care services using a palliative approach (CHCPA02A)
From Certificate IV in Aged Care Work  (CHC40102) This unit covers the knowledge and skills required of a worker in contributing to the development, implementation, evaluation and communication of a care plan for clients with life-limiting illness and/or normal ageing process in a team environment using a palliative
approach.  A Statement of Attainment will be issued to all who successfully complete the coursework in class for these two units.

From SIT07 Certificate II in Hospitality (Operations), through Australian Training and Consulting. The NSW liquor laws mandate responsible service of alcohol training for the liquor industry. The courses delivered by ATAC are NSW CLGCA approved and ATAC is registered with VETAB NSW. Your RSA (LAB approved) and RCG certificate do not expire once you have obtained them and they meet the OLGR requirements.

MYOB including Manual Bookkeeping
Unit: ICAU1211B - Operate Accounting Applications, from ICA05.
The class begins with 1 week of Manual Bookkeeping, as an introduction to the computerised bookkeeping program MYOB.  Course covers creating and editing accounts in the accounts list, processing account and cash sales, payments and bank deposits. You will also learn to process pays, purchases, cheques and bank recs. to help fulfil your BAS and GST requirements.  Basic computer knowledge essential
When:   Mondays 3, 9, 16, 23 Nov. 9am – 4.30pm.

COMPUTERS FOR BEGINNERS
Teacher Andrew Cherry will guide you through computer basics and help you feel comfortable with using them.  Learn basic word processing, formatting, emailing, internet, etc.  As there is a maximum of 10 in the class, Andrew can offer lots of personal support.

Join Ross Barnard for a Saturday morning session which will guide you through buying and selling on ebay. Watch what happens when you win (or lose) during the last minutes of an ebay auction. Learn how easy it is to set up as a seller, and to list your items for sale. Paypal, ebay’s safe avenue for all financial transactions, will be explained as well.
